AppGalleries + InMobi = #WINNING

July 18th, 2012 ryanmerket

We are delighted to announce that we have signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by InMobi, the world’s largest independent mobile advertising company! The AppGalleries product will join InMobi’s growing product suite and moving forward MMTG Labs will be a wholly owned subsidiary of InMobi. Nalin and I started this company with a vision of disrupting app distribution, and we’re happy to say that this vision is stronger than ever by partnering with InMobi.

No Huge Changes. Business As Usual

The company and service you have grown accustomed to isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. The team at InMobi truly sees our vision, appreciates our hard work and dedication, and is committed to giving us the resources to disrupt app distribution and discoverability as we know it today.  You can expect us to continue to do what we have always been doing — just at a global scale.

What Are The Plans Moving Forward

Though the announcement may seem sudden, the InMobi and AppGalleries teams have been working tirelessly for the past several months to solidify the next steps of the AppGalleries product. Obviously we can’t share the whole product roadmap here, but we want to give you some insight into what will be the next steps. With the help of InMobi’s resources and existing infrastructure in international markets, the AppGalleries team is going to be able to leverage their help to spread AppGalleries all over the globe—a vision we’ve been excited about for a long time. We will also be adding tons of product features to make the administration of app galleries much easier. That’s about all I can share at this time, but more goodies are definitely on their way.

We’re All In!

The reason we’ll be able to continue to provide the great service you’ve come to expect is because the whole AppGalleries team will be coming along for the ride. We all love what we’re doing and we’re all passionate about disrupting the app distribution game. We love our publishers, we love helping small developers get their first downloads, and we especially love helping users find apps that they mean the most to them. It’s was an awesome surprise to find out that InMobi loves all of those things just as much as we do!

Thank You and Stay Tuned!

Words can’t describe the amount of gratitude to every single person that has contributed to our story so far. We couldn’t be here without all of you playing your parts. From customers, developers, publishers, significant others, investors (all 23 of you, seriously we had a lot), friends, Blue Bottle Coffee, Taqueria Cancun in the Mission, to lenient landlords. You are all the reason for today’s celebration and tomorrow’s success at InMobi. THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Ryan Merket & Nalin Mittal

AppGalleries Launches 15 More App Gallery Partners!

May 24th, 2012 timjones

We love nothing more than expanding our publisher app stores across different and increasingly niche verticals. With the 15 newest additions to our platform, we’re happy to announce two new photography app galleries with Camera Dojo and Frank Doorhof, both of which were created and maintained by renowned photographers.

We also have an addition to our finance oriented app galleries with Money Under 30, a fantastic resource for financial advice. David Weliver, Money Under 30′s founder, was as excited as we were to launch his app gallery.

As technology transforms how we interact with our world—and our money—keeping a pulse on how apps can make managing money easier has become a vital part of Money Under 30′s mission. With the launch of the Money Under 30 Appstore, we hope to make app recommendations and comparisons an integrated part the financial support we offer Money Under 30 readers. Ideally, readers will leave Money Under 30 with better financial plans in their minds, better investments in their 401ks, and better money apps in their pockets.
